Farnborough Airport

Farnborough Airport

Farnborough Airport have submitted a planning application to amend a number of existing operational constraints it has placed upon it. They are proposing to:

  • Increase the Total air traffic movements (note that take off and landing are classed as 2 movements) from 50,000 to 70,000
  • Increase the weekend flying allowance to increase from 8,900 to 18,900, and
  • Change the weekend operating times from 0800-2000 to 0700-2100

Their reasons for the proposal are to meet increasing demand and safeguard the Airport’s long-term future and they will be holding a public consultation process to seek feedback on their proposals.
