Houses behind the Scout Hut Pankridge Street

Houses behind the Scout Hut Pankridge Street

26/00241/PREAPP, 40 houses on land behind the Scout Hut on Pankridge St.

This is a Pre-Application (which developers use to test Hart’s views on a potential development). Hart don’t usually ask for comments on these, as they are (usually) a desk-top exercise on policy issues. We have seen applications previously on this site, so please don’t be alarmed, just aware and informed.

Strange that its been submitted now, as most developers are submitting sites through the Hart Local Plan process at this time. You can make comments if you wish, but will have to email the Development Management Team planningadmin@hart.gov.uk (quoting the reference number).

The “Vision Document” has the best quick overview.

Description: “40 new homes with the provision of 40% affordable housing including accessible and adaptable homes. The development will provide on site public open space and associated walking routes. Vehicular access will be provided from the eastern boundary of the site off Pankridge Street, subject to the limited removal of TPO trees all Category C, the loss of which will be mitigated by replacement planting within the site. Pedestrian access will be provided from Lefroy Field from the southeast of the site. The PRoW will be retained and enhanced with improvements to the access, accessibility and management of the PRoW.”
