The seat commemorates the Platinum Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth the Second. A Platinum Jubilee is 70 years on the throne. She was the first British monarch to achieve this milestone.
This bench was made from a huge Wellingtonia tree that was over 150 years old when it died as a result of drought and had to be felled in 2021.
